Not that I’m dissatisfied by this being on the front page, but why is this article news right now? The bills were delivered to the governor in April and then signed in May. Regardless, this is great news!

Nothing. My biggest spend recently has been paying off my sisters student debt. Funded a car purchase for my other sister. Beyond that just rent and groceries. I should probably reevaluate my current lease because I quit my job and haven’t

The searching for usage of fonts is a useful feature. But for identifying fonts on specific websites, I find the browser dev tools to be more than sufficient. There is a “fonts” tab that lists all the fonts in use and their attributes like

My understanding is that the legal remedies/repercussions being considered involve divesting Android, Chrome. Splitting these off is not in any way killing Googles core business.

Perhaps Mozilla will spend money more effectively now? I'm not sure and frankly I don't care. For sure, it will be a sad day if Firefox formally goes under[1]. Still, it wouldn't change the validity of the decision to forbid

"Cutting off the funding" is the most insane framing of the situation. It makes the DOJ sound like the wrongdoers or ones responsible here. This "funding" should never have happened in the first place. It totally distort

The first blog post in this series[1], linked to at the top of TFA, offers an analysis on the potential of using ASNs to detect such traffic. Their conclusion was that ASNs are not helpful for this use-case, showing that across the 50k IPs

This is a hilariously optimistic, naive, disconnected from reality take. What sort of "proof" would be sufficient for you? TFA includes of course data from the authors own server logs^, but it also references real SDKs and busines

Yikes this is terrifying! What have we done to people? This needs to be setting off alarms. I don’t know how anyone can be okay with this, let alone work at a company that contributes to it. Amoral it is.

1. Giving a damn. The majority of people don’t care at all about the work being performed. You can easily distinguish yourself by simply caring about whatever it is you’re working on. 2. A natural consequence of the above: fully reading the

A harrowing story indeed. It is nothing short of a miracle that we have not yet fallen to a nuclear catastrophe. The Cuban Missile Crisis was of course very close, with military advisors on both sides pushing for strikes. A more disturbing
