Actually, a way to turn off that feature would be nice. It adds very little value at the cost of it taking days to update. It also marks my dotfiles repo as "VimL" which means any auto-resume tool will assume I know VimL, when I d

I downloaded some maps but panning / zooming results in the map flashing while it's displaying the next tile. As I said, I use Apple maps because it has a great user experience. This has the same issue Google maps has.

Can anybody recommend a good OSM-based maps app for iOS? Currently I'm using Apple maps as it offers a great user experience. It's extremely fast, fluid and has turn-by-turn directions. Unfortunately the data is sub-par for my are

I'd like to believe Apple simply as no code review but it's odd they removed a specific check -- was it not suppose to be there? Does anyone know if the patch added the line back in or if it removed the duplicate goto? The one thi

Can I request a text/plain version of this? I saw no option and while the confirmation email did contain both MIME types, Mail.app removed the functionality to prefer plaintext in Mavericks.

The Web is/was a threat to Microsoft because if everything is a web app you suddenly have no platform lock in. I think Google foresaw this, or is at-least betting on it, with Chrome OS. Why would anyone use Windows; an expensive, propr

Can I ask why you would want jQuery on npm? A lot of jQuery's use is DOM manipulation, something that as far as I'm aware doesn't exist on Node.js

No, but I have a fairly uncommon router (not ISP supplied) so I was curious if it also had a backdoor. It doesn't respond on LAN so it seems my DrayTek Vigor 2750N is backdoor-free for now...

I don't understand how this is measured. For instance Google Fiber is 3.69 Mbps. For a gigabit internet service, it seems fairly low.

Nobody seems to have posted this yet: python -m SimpleHTTPServer I'd recommend an alias like "serve". It basically puts the current directory online (binds to 0.0.0.0:8000).

Cannot agree more. TBBT is one of my favourite TV shows. In recent series, a lot more jokes are made about Penny: Sheldon: Stephen Hawking is... Penny: Yeah I know, the wheelchair dude who invented time.

I didn't think it would be interpreted that way. My bad. It seems like it's not a leak in the http library, just allocating memory and not releasing it sooner than expected.
