This was probably the most important discovery I made in the startup process. Helps guarantee that you make something people want.

It's not mentioned in the article, but this is the same tech as Premier ( https://premier.mobileworks.com ) under a different name. The easiest way to try it is to send a task to premier@mobileworks.com, or to use Nathan Kontny's excellent

I can't wait to buy one, even if it's just to print gifts for friends and nameplates for the office. Every time I hear more about this domain (typically from folks like iamwil at CubeHero) I become more excited by the possibilities. It's a

Yep, works fine. I just wrote this post in Draft. Didn't have a Pro help out, but looks like that works too.

Actually, TechCrunch misheard the pitch. CircuitLab's founders are pursuing a $500 million market in circuit simulation software, and a market in the billions that might come from recommending ideal component choices at the CAD level. No

This really inspires a lot of possibilities (and seems even easier than setting up with Parse). You could make some killer mobile massively multiplayer games like this -- the next Spaceteam or MMO Pong. Can't wait to try it out! Which apps

This was a curious design choice by Amazon. By choosing to use Amazon IDs as worker identifiers, Mechanical Turk gets all of the disadvantages of having anonymous strangers do jobs on the web -- lack of accountability, diminished incentives

I like this concept, and I think it can be improved through some more experimenting with the UI. Here's my feedback: from an interface perspective a visual process for organizing tasks is very appealing. But things weren't as intuitive as

We actually do this at MobileWorks (mobileworks.com). There's an API that lets you get N minutes from N people filtered by demographic. Some folks use our Premier product for on-demand testing set up by email -- they send test requests to

Yep, that's where we see a core value add; it's painful to find good assistants, and we think we've solved that part of the problem by cultivating a core group from our backend.

It was reasonably popular, but difficult to predict usage. You can still see it there - it's not labeled as such, but it's the "Starter" plan -- this will bill you per hour, with a minimum of one per week.

We used to have an "hourly" model, and may bring it back. Would this be of interest to you? The reason we do a weekly model is that it lets us plan capacity.
