States != Countries The UK is a single state, but comprised of at least three countries. England, Wales, Scotland. Northern Ireland would not count as a 'country' I guess, though Ireland itself obviously is.

A quick google search for 'oatmeal greeting cards' brings up oatmeal studios for me. In fourth place behind theoatmeal.com There should also be a specific trademark search available, not sure what that would be in the US. Did Oatmeal studio

Disagree, it's perfectly constructive feedback, if not advice. The founders have an opportunity to clear up any confusion, and we get to see that others also had an intuition that something's not quite right.

By that token we would assume that anything that takes any effort is legal. You can argue if something should be legal or not and that's a fair debate, but some people are concerned if something is legal or not, and they have a right to a

Using the logos of the sports organisations is probably infringing copyright. Whether or not the gambling bit is legal would depend on where the company is based, but then again it's Zynga's love child, you wouldn't expect everything to be

It's a little disingenuous to suggest that the ingredients of a food are 'something that can be added to it.' If processed foods tend to be bad (which they do) you can quite correctly crusade against them if you're interested in helping peo

Also, unless you/re eating organic most modern meats could be considered highly processed. Chicken for example used to be a healthy meat, but now most of the chicken you'll find in supermarkets is a high fat food.

I think we basically agree, it's very easy to miss high calorie foods that can totally throw your calculations out. And you shouldn't use a slow metabolism as an excuse for accepting a certain state, maybe that's easy for you and me to say

Ah ok, 100 pounds would be quite a challenging target. As I understand it though starvation diets don't work long term as they train your body to deal with food shortages by storing energy as fat. Losing in bursts doesn't sound like it woul

As you put on more weight the amount of calories you need increases. I don't think cutting your calories in half would result in a plateau within a few months in most cases. That's quite a major reduction, pretty much a starvation diet.

Even if you're eating just 300kcal over what you need every day you will become overweight eventually. Edit: for reference 300kcal is about what you'd burn off with a 4 kilometer run.
