Don't forget students. Heading to university as a professional who is employed full time, but I want my own device with minimal maintenance and headaches, as well as minimal distractions. Ipad pro has been a great answer. Initial notes

But then lost the option of having a tablet you can take around when you don't need a laptop. Also, if you're developing for ipadOS you've lost access to that. And any apps you may have had in your Apple ecosystem if you were

Halo Infinite has been quite decent, most of the time. Some screen pixellation and tearing occasionally. Apparently the very latest version when played via a Web browser (not the app) on PCs is far better than the last few releases. That sa

For me it's the enterprise grade software stack my customers, clients, and suppliers are running. Fancy Word formatting / referencing? Breaks in LibreOffice. Excel with macros? Also breaks. Spatial desktop stack? Pretty poor on Li

Sounds like your Windows install sucks. Pro or Enterprise version has minimal to no nags or shenanigans. Do not run the home version if you can help it.

Never claimed it was a socialist country. Did point out that socialised health care was a feature. Unsure what's being clarified here, or why.

The same issues exist. The next dodgy scientist on the hamster wheel looking to get a name for themselves will claim reproducibility and then publish a follow up in the spirit of publish or perish. You could further entrench the issue with

It's crazy to me that this is the first US airline to get such a thing. The Australian airline QANTAS has had this since 2011. Not just that, but you walk in to the terminal, check yourself in on a machine, tell the machine if you want

Many in the US look at socialist ideals as though they are evil and will destroy everything. Just as many seem to confuse them with communism. Importantly, socialist and communist societies are different, and there is no successful nation t

I just can't get behind this stack, it stinks. In other news, I'd love to include this as a stack proposal next time I'm proposing a project through our corporate sausage factory, just to see how far I can get it before someo

I fail to see how it matters, really. Heating is generally pretty straight forward. Apply current, get heat. Bypass the module altogether and stick something else in its place?

Sounds like this needs to be tested by the supreme court. An unborn kid can't each be a kid, a passenger, a foetus, inside the mother, and outside the mother at the same time. Their ruling would probably be that the kids needs to be re
