Has the automation scripting improved recently? Last time I looked into this there was an uninvuative (for a newbie) config file that required a server restart to see changes. Not exactly the easiest way to learn as it was a very slow feedb

This “L.A. Affairs” series that the latimes is doing is great. I’ve read a few of them despite it not even being in the ballpark of my normal content consumption. Most are well written, engaging, and are a nice change of pace.

I think you misunderstood. Much of the US is within the blast radius of the volcano. Food production doesn’t matter if you’re under 100ft of magma. People with in the blast radius will be escaping to somewhere .

But people who know about that will disable it in settings, and the majority of the world will go on using WiFi fully oblivious. Before the command center existed people weren’t saying having a WiFi toggle hidden in the settings app is a se

If you can say, “the next 450 characters are plain text and should be rendered as such”, then even if the text includes script tags (or whatever), they won’t be parsed or executed.

In the case of “ridesharing”, how is it making the world a worse place? It’s not clear that this market is winner take all. Rides are very cheap for consumers on Uber or Lyft. The experience is MUCH better than cabs in every city except may

That’s clearly not what this article is about. But on the subject that you’re talking about, it would be great if the US started phasing out fossil fuel subsidies.

Actually I think it would add 2 democratic and 2 republican seats. The proposed “Southern California” has large amount of conservative voters and I think the GOP would be able to scrape out wins there. Both OC and SD are relatively conserva

No need to call out “ATM Machine” or “LAN Network”. Repeating the last letter of an acronym in full is common in the English language because it provides clarity, flow, and disambiguation.

Governments have broken up large companies in the past, and that works out pretty well. Why suggest nationalization over that? The article only mentions “huge economies of scale”, but doesn’t do a good job convincing me that there isn’t roo

When you understand that it’s based on checks, it makes perfect sense. Not that checks are a good system, but if the alternative is a check then it’s the same downside.
