Having made the trek myself, and seeing one, in my opinion, of the great wonders of the modern world… I can certify that i would not drive there to just experience science museum stuff. Driving in puerto rico is terrifying, and up that hill

As a software engineer, I think it has to be done. The heres my platform - I cant control who or how folks use it, and have no responsibility of that mentality creates harm… lots of it.

Because ML facial recognition training sets are notorious for being biased in this way. How a law enforcement organisation and judge could set bail on a person from a biased ML algorithm alone is asanine.

Wow this is infuriating. There are so many people in this supply chain that I feel bear moral responsibility for this. From the engineers who have built the ML model for use in this way, to the engineers who designed and built the applicati

My favourite CMC quote. The evil of automation. “You can find meanness in the least of creatures, but when God made man the devil was at his elbow. A creature that can do anything. Make a machine. And a machine to make the machine. And evil

I think they use the language “opportunity cost” which would imply to me its a lost ad revenue figure instead of an infra figure. Its fuzzy math at best.

This is the answer. The power of the hundred billon plus models is that they can exhibit in context learning. By providing more examples in the context the output improves.

surely this purely has to do with the examples in the training corpus. I reckon SVG will have more illustrative content and as a result a more accurate representation. I reckon with the right examples in the prompt to take advantage of in-c

This all presupposes that the government is an efficient user of capital, when its pretty clear its not. Heavy taxes on the rich, means that capital investments that a rich person might finance, become government programmes and bureaucracie
