Yeah, I visited NYC last year for a week, and it was so much fun, but I would never ever want to actually live there. I could've done with spending a second week there, though. Admittedly, I had a bit of a skewed experience on my trip:

This is (one of several reasons) why I have no desire to ever live in a city. This is one the nice neighborhoods, and it's riddled with unbearable noise. I am very happy in my noise-free suburb.

I found the way Feedly handles scrolling to be aggravating to the point where I couldn't use it. The Old Reader is great, but it doesn't have a mobile app. For a while, I ended up having accounts with both The Old Reader and Feedl

It's sad, because Facebook wasn't like that when it started out. It was clean and light and fast, unlike MySpace which was often described as a messy, bloated pig.

I'm Jewish, and everything I've heard about how the Uyghurs in China are treated reminds me exactly of how my people were treated in Nazi Germany. The comparison is appropriate.

My guess is stores will give out extra-thick plastic bags and call them "reusable", which is what CVS and 7/11 did during the short time Dallas had a single-use plastic bag fee, and what someone else in this thread says Safew

Dallas had something similar during the short period of time we had a 5¢ (or was it 10¢?) plastic bag fee [0]. CVS and 7/11 replaced their bags with "reusable" plastic bags that were thicker and sturdier than the usual bags.

And what if you have motor control issues that makes it impossible to wash cutlery to any standard of cleanliness? I've said it before, and I've said it again: these anti-plastic laws are actively hostile to people with disabiliti
