So what exactly does that mean? If I'm driving from Chicago to Milwaukee will my compass say I'm heading South?

I probably had a handful of days per year in high school with that much homework, and it was always because I let it pile up until the night before it was due. The sad thing is that nobody cares about your education once you finish it. I

Well a few decades ago it was nuclear annihilation. I was a teen then, and it was more scary than climate change if you were the sort of kid who worried about stuff.

The phone is going to be niche regardless, and its likely users will be able to solve those problems their own way if GNOME apps are usable. Everyone is different, but for me, 90% of my phone usage is: phone calls (I have no landline phone

It's a NEXTSTEP legacy. Any MacOS application that uses the standard UI text field classes (NSText, NSTextView, etc) will get the emacs-like key shortcut behaviors. The NS prefix on those classes means "NEXTSTEP" Microsoft Of

I remember when CNN launched. News all day was a novelty; no other TV network was like it. I was a kid, but it did seem to me to be much more conservative (in the sense of not overtly sensational) and "straight" news at the time

I saw this and wanted to try to adapt it to hockey, and had the same sort of thoughts. It's a start, but not nearly enough to produce useful game video breakdown for a coach.

The point is, that owners of traditional cars don't have to "plan" road trips unless they just like doing that sort of thing. I know when I have to make a 300+ mile drive I don't plan it at all, I just set off knowing th

Israel is much closer to the western point of view on human rights for one thing. It's OK for there to be an objective right and wrong in a conflict.

Same experience. Sears was an anchor tenant at the local mall for decades. In that time they never did a significant rehab. When they finally closed a few years ago, it was still like stepping into the 1970s to shop there.
