NTSB also is not the FAA, just to be clear. The NTSB is one of the most respected safety and accident investigtation groups in the world.

Yes and no. The basic 737 design dates to the 1950s. The first ones flew in the 1960s. The 737 Max is an augmented version of the original.

Poor kids used to be able to work in the summer and maybe part-time during the school year to pay for college, until easy loans inflated the cost so much that became impossible

A big problem with most of those plans is that they are sold as "everyone gets to go to college and the government pays for it" not that "government pays only for those who are qualified"

There are young people who should not be in college. They either don't have the aptitude, or they weren't serious in high school and aren't prepared. We should not be guaranteeing loans for these kids, nor making them at all

True randomness does not preclude clusters of events. In fact that's the nature of random events. Not saying I think these are completely random. But since we don't even know the cause of the Ethopian crash yet, who's to say?

Southwest are extremely experienced with the 737 in general and have specifically trained on MCAS and its potential failures on the MAX. Southwest have been flying since the 1960s, and have I think a total of (3) fatalities. No relation or

I have no expertise in the area, but I doubt it's the same cause. Every 737 Max pilot will certainly be aware of the Lion Air crash and the ways to mitigate that particular behavior of the aircraft. We need to wait for the investigatio
