Good point about GKE blocking resources on the nodes. I wish they would at least allow more control over that with the introduction of the master fees.

They should be available to GKE as soon as they are available for the usual VM instances. If you can't launch a node pool, I bet you also can't launch a VM.

I wish it was simply flat 30% cheaper. It is very misleading that 0.99% of month will be 30% cheaper than a full month, considering that Google Cloud is advertising sustained usage discounts everywhere.

Strangely, the E2 type seems to be available when checked with "gcloud beta compute machine-types list", but not with "gcloud beta compute machine-types list --zones". Launching also doesn't work.

I also have a GeForce Now account, but somehow, it doesn't feel as smooth as Gaikai back then. An FPS like CS GO is unplayable for me - because of input lag.

I remember trying out Gaikai in some 2009, and I was completely blown away both by the quality and by the latency. It felt like magic, I couldn't understand why they didn't succeed commercially, and I still can't understand w

Good point, there is still a barrier between how people deploy (kubernetes) and how people develop (docker-compose). And it's not just different syntax, developers typically never have to deal with concepts like ingress and persistent
