Kubernetes has a requirement that containers (more accurately "pods") can connect via a "flat networking space". How this is achieved varies between deployments, flannel, calico and weave are all common approaches. Kelse

I've never read any of her blogs before (that I can recall) and I do agree there are some misunderstandings. But it was clearly written as as a brain dump to help other people going through the same process and it largely achieves that

I don't believe either of that was in the article. Condemnation of one party does not imply support for the other.

Tap water in the UK varies greatly around the country. The water in Edinburgh seems pretty good, some other parts of the country taste surprisingly different.

I'm pretty happy about being able to add labels to `docker build` - now it should be possible to easily associate a git hash of the code that was used to build the container.

1) I don't think that graph is adjusted for inflation. 2) I haven't done it, but I'd be willing to put a few quid on the 1970s having the largest proportion of albums in the best of lists e.g. http://www.rollingsto

Nice read, but I'd like to point out that this is a very well studied problem, particularly in HPC. I'd point to a few decent resources, but the only one that my google-fu found was https://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen&

Yeah, I agree that the load-balancer is important and not adequately addressed. I guess most people rig up their own set-up based on haproxy currently. I don't get why you think I can't compare that group though. What should I com

You need orchestration even at small scale (say more than 2 nodes). Otherwise you have to manually take care of container scheduling and failover etc.

I think Kubernetes on top of Mesos may become a reasonably common set-up, largely because it allows diverse workloads that can drive better usage and efficiency. I'm not sure what the trade-offs are with running Kubernetes on Mesos - t
