pyobjc is how i got exposed to objective-c. it's a joy to use if you have your app in python, but i've heard complaints about the python-objc bridge leaking memory, so you may end up doing memory management in python (alloc, init, etc.) on

amen. it's far too easy to get stuck in a rut of just building and not shipping and getting feedback. this happened to me recently. i kept wanting to add one more little feature and improve efficiency, but all that time could have been used

i've recently started using f.lux [1], which adjusts the color temperature of the screen based on the time. after a night of coding, i've noticed i've been able to fall asleep more quickly, probably since my eyes adjust to the ambient warm

yeah, no point in me stopping when the product is 80% built already (of course the last 20% is the toughest). i applied with a social photo search app... it's like greplin for photos and videos. if you want an invite to the beta, sign up at

you should prune the 404's. thanks for posting this, though. some of these are hilarious and great examples of what not to do!

it would be nice to get something equivalent to X11 forwarding that would work with all native Mac apps.

good. don't worry about polish, just make it easy to find. i use github for this since it's very code-centric. doing stuff like this (it might not even need to be OSS) can be a bullet point or URL on a resume. you'll be ahead of many candid
