Nobody needs tensorflow. That's just a kludge around the fact that python is terrible for ML.

It's definitely not possible. These have to be rewritten with the specific autodiff /ML framework in mind. Even then, you're not going to have fast custom types to be used on the GPU without dropping into C++

Then you haven't looked at Julia's ecosystem. It may not be quite as mature, but it's getting there quickly. It's also far more interoperable because of Julia's multiple dispatch and abstract types. For example, the

Julia can do GPU kernels (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) also, they just aren't all implemented in pure Julia (or tuned) yet, hence the CUDA lib calls. https://juliagpu.org/ https://juliagpu.org/2020-09-28-gemmker

Julia is perfectly fine for non numerical programming, better in ways than python inheritance spaghetti. See: https://github.com/GenieFramework/Genie.jl Multiple dispatch + parametric types is a very general and power

What? I used to write python, and to me, MD is first and foremost a conceptual improvement. Makes writing code so much sweeter, more expressive and sensical. It also heavily improves composability. It's LESS performant if not done car

I don't see anywhere about a better type system or multiple dispatch. Try being less salty In what language are you defining these custom arrays or types? certainly not in python, or they'll be too slow to be worthwhile.

Even if structs worked, they wouldn't be part of a good type system, don't work with abstract interfaces/inheritance,traits, multiple dispatch, fast union types, zero allocation immutables or any myriad of other things
