Thanks for the support arikfr! Being a long time HN user, I am happy to see Todoist recommended. We are in this for the long haul. We don't even go into acquisitions talks (we already turned down a lot of them), and we don't have

As a warmup I strongly suggest following the ASL, where many of the StarCraft legends are still competing (e.g. Flash, Bisu). There's a team event now: http://sc2casts.com/event913-2017-ASL-Team-Battle-S1 The remasteri

I doubt The Berkshire Hathaway is successful because of their processes. They are successful because Buffet and Munger are geniuses in their respective field and to build the internet version of The Berkshire Hathaway, you would probably ne

I have made a Python interface to access neural-redis, ref: https://github.com/amix/neuralist Should make it much easier to experiment with this stuff if you are using Python.

In the current iteration, this only implements feed forward neural networks -- which are basic and can only resolve basic correlations. For more advanced stuff (like image or video processing) you have to move to recurrent neural networks.

Most dev teams probably run Redis in production and having neural networks as a datatype could be incredibly powerful -- it will make neural networks much more accessible. While this was a 48h personal hackathon (insane!) by Salvatore, I ho

Tried API.ai a few months ago and was very unimpressed with the results (things were slow, expensive and not very powerful. Rebuilding the models was also broken at times). I am unsure why Google are acquiring them, especially given that th

The major problem of Solidity (Ethereum’s language) is the Turning completeness. This makes it incredibly hard to reason about any property of the contracts (since everything is undecidable due to Rice’s theorem). I don’t know why they didn

The bitcoins that Satoshi Nakamoto own are worth about ~400 million USD. There are also a ton of coins missing from Mt. Gox and Silkroad. Maybe it’s all related somehow? Anyhow, it's clear why the authorities would be interested: poten
