Thank you for this, I would want that to happen either. But why is Iran like an armed robber? I guess I’ll need to research a bit more.

I do resonate with this perspective. Iran could be the most evil group within humanity but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t act rationally and acquire weapons her enemies have.

How does search work without a database? I notice the URL has parameters called `query` and `sort`: ``` https://standardebooks.org/ebooks?query=doyle&sort=newest&vi... ```

I can't recall a prior instance when the FCC (or any other regulator) fined a ham for interfering with amateur radio activities. Pretty cool to see! 73 VE3EQL

ELI5, why can’t we have a combination of modern P2P like WebRTC and onion routing to anonymize source and destinations?

I concur, for example, ENS domains are memorable, secure and the whole contract is decentralized. And you can send Vitalik eth at vitalik.eth

That's not the point of a camera cover. It's not to protect against an APT (which is what I'm hoping you mean by a "they") but rather it is to serve as a last line of defense against an attacker that has compromise

Inspired by this I spent all my free credits trying to generate a QSL card for ham radio. I got pretty close but I think I have to accept I'm just not that good at making art, even with a great AI :)

I agree that it is tiresome to continuously clarify your position in comments, but somehow that isn't how conversations go on HN. Although, your mileage will vary. Unless the topic is around cryptocurrencies, that is. Then the conversa

Regarding notifications, try HN Notify[0]. It came up a long time ago and I've been using it ever since. I love getting replies in emails. If you don't follow up on conversations, no one learns. [0]: https://hnnotify.xy

I made the mistake of posting an email address on HN. I get a lot of spam on it now. I know it's because of HN because the email address is hackernews@domain. It's like a tsunami of spam and phishing emails.
