In case you have never used it, https://app.codecov.io/ can watch your GitHub repo and run tests + coverage. There's a nice UI to then see the coverage % for each folder and also whether a PR or commit is increasing or

I used Heroku’s free tier for small projects/prototype. I continue to use their cheapest offering for new projects because it saves me time. If a project grows, I can reevaluate my choice. I don’t think anything in Heroku is a pain to

The person who stole your bike probably sold it for $10. It’ll cost you way more to purchase the same or similar bike. The happy person in the story is the person buying stolen bikes (or parts thereof).

max-width gets set to vh, not vw. I do dislike this solution because the ratio is encoded twice. I’m sure there are other ways to achieve the same, some are perhaps more elegant?

You are setting `width: 100vw;` which is why it doesn't work. Try something like this: https://jsfiddle.net/pgaz7cmx/ , which sets both, width and max-width.

Today, you can use aspect-ratio ( https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/aspect-rati... ). I had to once do something similar and I ran into 4 cases (which can be collapsed into 2 cases): add ver

Today, you would probably consider Argon2 since it specifically came out of a competition for password hashing functions. Historically, scrypt, bcrypt and pbkdf2 have all three been widely used.

Most athletes who are at the top of their sport when they reach age ~40 tend to be crazy outliers. I’m thinking Michael Schumacher (F1), Tom Brady (NFL), Roger Federer (tennis), etc.

That’s a good point. Maybe you should be able to type “1e20” in scientific mode? It would make the calculator more feature full and prevent “losing” data if you copy/paste in the middle of a long calculation.

Exactly 6 times. What's happening is if the result is 1e<something>, a roundtrip to the clipboard results in 1<something>. I.e. 1e20 becomes 120.

Not everyone can do this, but if you can manage to first do contract work, IMHO it's win-win for both parties. From the company's point of view: senior engineers are very expensive -- having a contract period lowers risk. From the

I ran some data analysis on all the comments on this site to see which XKCD comic is the most cited. The raw posts and comments data is available on Google BigQuery. I then wrote some code to extract comic IDs and calculate some statistics.

Browser could implement finer grain permissions (i.e. only permit the API use for a given top level path regexp) but I bet most users won't bother fine tuning their grants.
