Aren't all PS4 discs AES signed? I believe that (barring a hacked system) there is no side loading of games that aren't Sony-blessed.

I'm not sure that your side note is a good example. If you owned shares in the American Can Company, you would have then owned shares in Primerica and would now own shares in Citigroup which was only bumped out of the DJIA in 2009. Sev

You absolutely can and many do pass security without a confirmed seat. That's the practice in the article, passing ticket holders along and telling them the seat will be assigned at the gate, well after baggage is checked and security

Do you sync your ssh keys to all the machines you login from? How do you ssh-copy-id without some allowance for passworded logins? Especially if you're doing it from such distant machines that you can't scp over a .ssh/config

How is this different than an actual echo device as it sits now? You're still relying on a piece of software to make the wake-word assessment and hand off the audio to the cloud. Now you're just adding more hardware parts to fail.

The difference is that the key was not encrypted with the password. If the key were properly encrypted (as you describe) the password check could not have been bypassed.
