My monitor was supposed to be delivered on the 24th. It will not arrive until the 27th. Huge let down by UPS, because I had to spend the holidays with my family instead of staring at 144hz of beauty! </sarcasm> I would imagine a

SSD prices down to 25c/GB by 14Q3. The advent of the Steam cube will probably increase sales for microatx/itx (I want to shove $2,400 in hardware in a portable computer too). Academics will still rely on Perl instead of GPUs. Pote

You actually hit the nail on the head with the regional comment. My experience in Mississippi at Home Depot and Walmart was a complete 180 from my experience in Texas. There seems to be less trust in MS.

I suppose I was thinking from the 'lazy throw up apache, mysql and wordpress' mindset. If example.com is in its own container with its own mysql database, I do not have to worry about www.test.com getting exploited and example.com

As far as I understand, the clock and such are tied to the base host. Typing 'uptime' in my linux container shows 5 days, the uptime of the base host.

We are currently virtualizing our infrastructure's desktops with QVD and LXC. There have been a few challenges, but overall, it has been painless and exciting.

I will not lie, I felt kind of silly opening the page at work and did the quick ctrl+1 to switch to a tab when a coworker walked by my office! Aside from that, I have had a recent interest in Docker, LXC and QVD. Thanks for the information,

The greatest problem of statistical analysis is throwing out observations which do not fit the bill. All analysis should be thoroughly documented with postmortems.

RAID over IP was a joke. I remember reading this story about someone flooding routers to turn them into a broadcasts to view the flow of packets over the network. I imagined the same thing, then said, hey with HDDs and broadcast, you could

An aged domain typically has higher page rank. I imagine it has a ton of backlinks from just existing in that time. Companies pay for its page rank to be funneled into them by association.
