Sure, maybe. Though eventually one may find lots of edge cases. What about files in the root that get deleted? What about programs that put wanted state within config dirs? What about programs that ignore symlinked files? What about when yo

That repo is not actually VS Code. What you get when you download compiled VS Code releases includes proprietary, closed-source components. If you build “VS Code” from OSS components, you do not end up with VS Code.

Many only accept it because there is little choice but do so if they wish to pursue the profession. Despite what you may think, many are not in it for the money, but genuinely enjoy their work (but wish it was fewer hours) and helping patie

A big difference is that many taxes for using roads are paid regardless of road use, whereas a train ticket is obviously priced for the usage. (Yes, gas tax can indirectly be this, but different vehicles have vastly different fuel economies

The default in the majority of the world is that most creative works (including software code) are by-default copyrighted by the author, and the author must explicitly license away those rights. Some jurisdictions (e.g. France) put limits o

I don’t know anyone who is recommending against flakes these days. The “experimental” label is more about the API stability than completeness, bugginess, or anything else. There are certain scenarios where the performance can be problematic

For Three Mile, indeed there is some disagreement on the long-term non-fatal health effects. That any causal effect is unclear does not mean it does not exist, but does suggest that, even if it does, it is likely small. (Admittedly, I have
