I only clicked the link to find out what 'recalcitrant' meant... adjective: "having an obstinately uncooperative attitude towards authority or discipline" Sounds like a lot of IT departments... :-)

This is great! I've been hacking away at CSS for years and learned heaps from this. Also, reminded me to look up the differences between `rem` and `em`, which I've been meaning to do for ages! https://j.eremy.net/c

This may sound overly-dramatic, but I think Twitter is to blame for many of the problems in the world. The "cancel culture" and lack of real debate that stems from Twitter is all due to a race-to-the-bottom environment with people

I'm in a similar boat to the author and have also recently deleted my Facebook and Instagram account - although I'll note that the sneaky "to be deleted" state is now 30 days instead of just 7. But, similar to the author

What do you mean by 'significant' update? Version 0.90 was released just recently, and there are continual slow and steady updates that come through. For a CSS framework, that seems quite appropriate.

I don't use a Mac any more but from what I see and hear, most Mac users aren't clamouring for more speed or for even thinner laptops, but for a more stable, less annoying operating system.

I work in a mixed environment of both Windows and Linux and in my opinion sudo is very similar to Windows UAC and local admin rights. In that, you can give someone access to a computer without sudo or local admin rights and they won't

I agree - I thought it was horrible at first (actually, I thought something was broken at first), but I have grown to like it. Sure it can be tweaked a bit but overall I think this is a good move.

First I've heard of LanguageTool, and it looks like they have some off-line capability, but this seems like an area where having it run in the cloud makes more sense. LanguageTool definitely __feels__ more trustworthy than Grammarly, s
