In my experience CentOS/Redhat is always a pain in the ass. I find Ubuntu/Debian awesome primarily because of the package management.

From the API page ( http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveSupport/Concern.htm... ) it seems to do two things, 1. resolve module dependencies 2. eliminate some ruby boilerplate in the module code. I kind of liked the idea of extending th

So the subscription cost would have to cover the extra cost for not only regular gmail because they can't serve you ads, but also the extra manpower of providing encryption. A feature that they can will only sell to a limited audience. So

I think the Japanese language is a big issue and Matz's decision to not make changes to the GIL in spite of Rubinius making great progress in that regard.

How has Python avoided this? Is it because GVR has been accepted as the dictator because there are no language barriers? I can see how the language issue can cause a major disturbance.

I didn't follow why the article stated that AC is not ready for the grid of the future. This DC grid seems to be an incremental improvement, 10%? But IMO not a huge breakthrough.

Still doesn't help you, which postal employee is going to sit for 1/2 hour while you test your iphone and make sure it connects to your computer etc? They can only say, "yup it looks like an iphone", not whether or not it works.

It is a problem when you consider a buyer has usually 6 months to do a chargeback and you have 60 days to leave feedback and cannot change it later.

The limiting factor is the buyer's reputation with his credit card company. If he is repeatedly doing chargebacks people hopefully a credit card company will notice and not take his side or better yet, not issue him credit. The idea is th

Risk analytics has always been an area for data crunching. It is not new and will benefit from big data advances. I think the argument is how far do you get until you have financially limiting diminishing returns.
