I have worked on this in the past and work on a side project in this field. Would be willing to discuss more via email if you wish. (Email's in my profile)

I'm in a similar position though I think I've improved my focus vastly compared to previous projects. Please feel free to email me if you want to discuss in private. In terms of advice, probably the best thing to do is to pursue what you ca

Zero Hedge is interesting in that it shares the philosophy of the Economist i.e anonymity. In a world now, where everyone appears to be shouting or seeking attention, it's quite refreshing. (Although both could improve the structure of thei

eNom are fine. You can register (upgrade) as a reseller for bulk discounts and other tools. I'm led to believe folks with really high value names or lots of them often become registrars themselves.

You might need to define 'successful' for online grocery in the UK. Ocado is losing money and I doubt that the major supermarket operations are profitable.

Same. I guess it's a re-branding exercise and they'll do most of the heavy lifting for us.

I'm working on something related to this. If you like, I would enjoy sharing my project and discussing marketplaces further with you. (My email's in my profile.)

I've received a lot of interesting feedback and will be proceeding to build something. Hopefully all going well I'll update this thread when it's ready.

The site looks fine but growing the economics section might be a big ask. No offense to the operators but the name isn't the best either.

Possibly. I love the independent Economist articles - the mixture of background, stats, graphs and opinion. The problem lies in engaging with the topics and the need for startup/entrepreneurial content that will help me with my own startup.

Yeah, good suggestion. Reddit's quite a large site though now with a broad number of topics. Maybe a more focused business/economics site might be more useful to me I don't know.

That might be a good idea. It's a pity New Mogul shut-down as It really was a good compliment to HN's engineering topics when many are also looking for business advice and content.

Thanks for the url. It looks like an interesting forum, more from a stocks perspective as opposed to the macro economy. I'd like to add that it might make more sense to focus on startups and innovating companies from each sector mentioned.

I graduated, but made the mistake of not starting a project whilst at college. If you start now, you could have something to work on after college - with a degree in hand too. If it becomes too much, you'll then have to choose one over the

Fairly obvious but true, good B2B companies usually have strong balance sheets and often minimal debt. The Internet appears to be B2C from a users perspective but fundamentally, the business models i.e advertising, commission, are basically
