Doesn't Google Authenticator provide you with a list of one-time use codes you can print out and carry with you for just those types of situations?

I set those flags in group policy but the watermark doesn't go away. The only way to get rid of it is to re-enable SecureBoot in the BIOS. This is really frustrating.

Agreed. It is amazing how it is possible for a product development team to come to believe that making me click several times to see the same information I could before via one click (or without clicking at all) is a good idea.

This looks like a lot of effort has gone into it and I eagerly await support for ssh & https. We have an internal instance of GitLab set up here at work and I'd love to see something that was easier to upgrade take its place. Edit:

What exactly is your evidence that Amazon Fulfillment (I'm assuming) underpays people here in the US? My ex-wife here in Texas (a state that is not known for "worker friendly" laws) works in one of Amazon's distribution

AdblockPlus, NoScript and RequestPolicy are my tools to control the content my web browser displays. My general rule is that I'll only disable ad blocking on a few trusted sites and never on a site that uses a third-party advertising

I'm looking forward to the eventual day when you log into the GNOME desktop environment and are presented with a single, full-screen button that says "Logout" because all other features have been removed. In all seriousness t

For FreeBSD, I think your choices for virtualization are limited to jails or Virtualbox. Virtualbox on FreeBSD does support Intel/AMD processor virtualization extensions I believe.

For mid-range dedicated hosting, I've been using OVH and have generally been happy with them. https://www.ovh.com/us/index.xml It's important to note that their North American data centers are actually located in Canada although I do beli

You don't even need to have a pass phrase that long with KeePass. It allows you to set the number of rounds of encryption to perform to make brute forcing even short master passwords infeasible. Of course, that assumes the master password

True, that's usually the case. However, it is still entirely up to the whim of the entity asserting a patent claim (rightly or wrongly) as to whether or not you end up with a very large legal bill. That's a huge amount of liability and

There are no free passes like that in the US patent system as far as I'm aware. You don't have to knowingly infringe a patent to be taken to court by a patent holder and potentially held liable for patent infringement.
