10 000 hours is about 3.5 years study. No need to take mortgage for university, no need to work for free 'to prove yourself'. Hell you can even babysit while doing it (as I am doing now while learning Scala)

It is impossible to argue with such generalization. Culture is sexist, ergo industry is sexist. I would only say that LA startup has very different culture from big corporation which still uses mainframes and Cobol.

Let me guess: usually travels alone with just cabin luggage. No children or friend who needs assistance. Most 'dangerous item' is laptop. Always has a return ticket. Never visited Belarus, Iraq or other 'dangerous' count

Lets put it other way. Why someone should produce 10x more work, even if she/he could? Salary would be probably only 20% higher. And there is a huge pile of disadvantages (no holidays, extra support...). It is also career limiting move

I think it is fair comparison. There are gangs stealing bikes, it is also frequently target to vandalism. And it is scalable to the level, that is not safe to leave your bike without lock. Also article only talks about single credit card. W

Large part of population was not vaccinated. Also some countries did not provide vaccination at all. Dead were mostly related to overall fitness rather than some magic virus.
