I would add that a lot of ppl in this industry also just blindly follow the herd too, without any independent thinking. Oh, everyone is using Crowdstrike? I guess i have to do so too! Oh, everyone is using Kubernetes? I guess i better start

Unless that threat was a 0day bug that allows anyone to SSH to any machine with any public key, it was not worth pushing it out in haste. Full stop. No excuses.

So whats the alternative? Have no endpoint protection? Have nothing in place to warn you when malware ends up in your system? (Just playing devils advocate. I hate Crowdstrike as much as anyone here :)

Wait, does this mean if all your machines had Windows and Crowdstike installed, and you had no backups off site, all your data would essentially be wiped out?

I dont understand? Linux servers dont need endpoint protection? I venture the vast majority of servers with crowdstrike are linux

I dont know if they are just casually using logos on their homepage but why the heck would Google (and even IBM) be using a product like this? Like… your entire future depends on getting this right and youre using a startup with 2-5 people

Wouldn’t having insights into the stack used by a company help with cross selling their monitoring suite? Example: if a company is committing code that is heavily involved with Redis, Datadog could come in and say “hey, need to monitor memo

Can anyone tell me why someone would pay nosebleed prices for Gitlab when they could simply use Github? Like do they have some special use case that github doesn’t support? Do Gitlab customers just love giving away lots of money? Do they wa

I mean sure you can devote some time to building a decent GraphQL schema, but will it really be worth the time/effort/investment when you can hack a painless REST API that can do all those dead simple CRUD operations easily? Every

I am assuming your product is HockeyStack. Why do you need Clickhouse? Why do you need to store 20 billion rows of data? Even if you do need to store that much, why isnt something like Postgres sufficient? If you’re doing revenue attributio

Kaggle always was a place to conpete in data science contests to me. I never associated it with anything else. If they did sell ML models they did a horrible job letting people know about it
