This whole argument could have been summed up to some high school debate club member expecting to find someone with qualifications re: the feasibility of space colonization... which, frankly, deserves derision. What is he really looking for

Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a 10 year gap in your IM technology timeline there. AIM straight to Facebook? Was I the only one using ICQ, MSN, Google Chat before Facebook came along?

Ideas are worthless refers to the fact that an obvious thing is obvious - I would argue that most ideas that go on to become successful products are obvious. Seldom are they really revolutionary. The implementation might be, but the idea it

I want to thank you for your insights regarding breakage and perishability - I had never considered this aspect of the Groupon model (having simply concluded that the reasons so many spas and restaurants were represented was due to their re

All these pros, except weight, is really just down to the SSD - which you can get in any MBP trivially. 1. With an SSD, any current MBP would feel just as snappy. 2. Can't get around that - though I seldom feel my 4lb MBP is too heavy. 3. I

If the music industry goes after them for this, they apparently completely missed the boat on pogoplug and the service they offer. I stream movies/music and view files remotely via an external drive hooked up to my pogoplug server at home.

People like to point to population density but I find the answer a little too easy - about 80% of Canada's population lives within 100 miles of the US boarder and a similar proportion live in one of 3 dense urban areas (Quebec City - Windso
