As long as Google dominates in search, Google will be able to monetize better than anyone else. robads seems interesting though, but will have a long time to get adopted.

Open ad standards seems to be a good idea. Most companies prepare ads in secret and put them in Adwords. If Robads standards catch up it may open the advertiser ads to everyone; that is good for consumers, advertisers and most ad mediators.

yes mainly because ipad and ipad 2 are under-equipped for 2011; for example poor screen resolution and low memory.

i agree that anybody except apple excels at hardware design, however both ipad and ipad 2 are not at all impressive in terms of what apple could have offered in hardware in 2010 and 2011;
