Man that's a good idea, but I take it to the opposite extreme. I just can't bring myself to be an early riser, egads. You've inspired me to give it a try sometime though. :)

No, it's just descriptivist trash and proper use of the language. More like, should've looked it up in the dictionary and found neophobia . Intellectual laziness is not just cause for using words improperly.

Singapore far and away. Low taxes, big time entrepreneurial community, cheap labor... but high rent.

Linode! Fastest there is, cheap, and they have an API. Plus no contract.

You want to B2B this. Developing an anti-spam system isn't something you can just hack up though, being any better than the rest requires post-doc grade research backing your algorithms and bayesian filters. Unless you're some kind of laten

My coworker and friend danced for Chris yesterday. I don't know why but I always find anecdotes about how Reddit got started really fascinating. Perhaps personal interest.

That's what I meant to express precisely. I'm sorry you were dissatisfied but I was fighting leiningen and swank-clojure while transcribing. You may have your refund of $0.00 for my services in two weeks.

I pretty much live on freenode in all the dev channels, but I keep the terminal on a fairly isolated place so that I don't get distracted. Keep a shell on my linode, /lastlog to check to see if anybody was lookin' for me.

Google doesn't have a market-share that constitutes monopoly in anything, especially in a market (search) where the switch cost is nothing. You'd be closer to the mark accusing the iPhone of having a monopoly on telephony simply because it

One task to a machine can save a lot of trouble, ie, not having the database on the local app server + having varnish + nginx in front of it.

The only mentions of Google concern Google Docs being SAAS and thus being unacceptable. Hence, he was still lying about Stallman "using Google search". My cry of shenanigans stands.

Cool, thanks for your thoughts. I always felt like Clojure was attempting a permissive system, whereas Erlang really is pretty up-front about the environment it's designed to work in. I keep meaning to fiddle with Reia but never got around
