As an Irish citizen, I feel embarrassed by the way we have dealt with Apple (and other behemoth corps). We simultaneously gave these organisations "free parking" and a "get out of jail free card". I don't blame Appl

I also got thinking about them in the last month or so. I thought it might be fun/interesting to put one together today for the sake of nostalgia.

The technical requirements of running google maps would immediately turn your dumb phone into a smart phone. Why don't you just uninstall everything from your phone but whatsapp and google maps?

You should consider using more punctuation. This entire post has only 3 sentences. It's essentially unreadable. You might have a good point, but I can't understand anything you've said.

Slightly off topic, but when a page with minimal styling like this comes by, how do you typically view it? I usually do something like this in the inspector: body{ width: 601px; margin: auto; font-size: 1.3em; color: #48

I've been using Meteor with Blaze and mongodb for the last couple years for various small side projects and prototypes. I think it's a great way to get going fast and still works well at a reasonable scale. Plus, the reactive data

Agreed. A bit ranty - but still a good analysis of what constitutes bad design when "disrupting".

I totally agree. It's about fixing problems ahead of time. The only problem is that without a drive now, the tech could disappear, and when it finally does become relevant, an argument might be made that "it didn't work befor

This is a great idea. My two cents: 1. An accounts system would be great so that I could just run ``python experiment.py | seashells u=almostarockstar p=hunter2`` or similar with keys, and then have a bookmark on my phone to view seashells.

Good point. Perhaps if you gave the job to a CS major, or an engineer they'd invest the time in making a time saving interface. But an intern in Chase? I doubt they would have the skills or the knowledge to do that.
