It only happens occasionally on bugs issues that get a lot of attention (by being posted to HN for example, sorry about that). Usually GitHub issues threads are sensible and helpful places.

They were probably right to do it. But it would have been useful to keep the reference to Node.JS in there as not everyone knows what "n" is.

Looks like the mods changed the title I gave. Just for those that don't know, "n" is a version manager for Node.JS that some use to handle multiple copies of Node.JS on their system.

Thanks for the feedback! The landing page not being finished was why I'd been waiting to launch, wish I'd got it done sooner now! EDIT: Until I sort out the landing page here's the current pricing: 50GB is $25/year, 100GB is $40/year and 50

Wow, I've been working on almost the exact same thing! Except I'm charging a yearly fee instead of using the users own AWS account, this makes it easier for users without an AWS account and also means you don't have to worry about the craz

It's hard to tell when the only visible thing is the landing page and that gives almost no information on the product (one too-small-to-see screenshot). I'm in the market for a new project management software at the moment so I'm interested

Your tool looks interesting, pity you can't release it! I'm so tempted to do that. But it seems like a rabbit hole that I could spend a lot of time exploring all the while not actually working on paying projects :)

I believe some do offer SQL-like query languages. But if all you support is lookup by key, or even just lookup by field, then SQL really isn't that useful in my opinion. And if your lookups are based on map-reduces that have to be pre-speci

It can be very difficult to start building projects when you already do freelance work though. It can be very distracting plus it's probably going to be a while before what you could earn from a product gets anywhere near what you are earni

HN does actually use a cookie called "user" when you login to keep you logged in. But for page to page state it uses an id in the url. That's why a lot of the internal links have a "fnid" in them and why you can't share those urls.

Looks awesome! For some reason I can't type the ( symbol. I do have my ( and [ keys swapped but I tried both and neither has the desired effect.

I think it's a nice idea and I'm really interested to see how you execute on it. I mentioned it on the form but I'll say it again here. I think for prices around what you're talking about it makes sense to make them per month $25/year is ab

Learn a little at a time. Don't compare your knowledge to other's or to the total amount possible, just to what you knew before. Keep it up and you'll slowly get better and better over time. I also find it useful to keep a short file of fea

Why would it? Do you think twitter has a patent on the idea of status updates? Hey, maybe they do, the patent system is pretty messed up after all, but I would guess not!

You think that pointing out that "holy water" is in fact sewage from a blocked drain is the same thing as claiming that the systematic murder of 6 million people never happened?
