This makes me sad. I always thought that part of being a good user on HN was submitting feedback via comments and voting. To imagine that there are users out there who don't consider this a community, and want only to leech off the useful

At some point, spoilers have to have a statute of limitations. It's been 12 years since that book came out. Likewise, Bruce Willis was dead the entire time; Vader is Luke's father; and Rosebud was his sled.

Posting a random screenshot without giving any indication about what you perceive to be the problem is probably not going to get much of a response.

First off, not everyone knows about Khan Academy. Secondly, the link is unspecific because the OP hasn't detailed exactly what areas he needs a refresher in. It might be Algebra, it might be Calculus. Better to send him to a general highe

In addition to phishing and malware, I'd also check to see if this user had a PSN or Gawker account with the same email and password.

I think you're looking for "An Awesome Book", by Dallas Clayton. It actually is a children's story book, and I bought a hardcover version the last time it came through here. http://veryawesomeworld.com/awesomebook/inside.html

I find that my procrastination disappears from lack-of-sleep as well. My most productive days at work are the ones where I get less than 4 hours of sleep.

I like your example, and it's a good one for the specific case. I imagine a more formal proof would involve a reduction of any "non-leaky" abstraction to being capable of solving the halting problem, which is already proven impossible.
