I think your comment is extremely ignorant to obstacles intentionally crafted to prevent those kinds of things in reality. That political infighting does not exist by itself. Another part is that half of the island is by now dependent on a

I know exactly what you mean - in Delphi world, DevExpress had a data grid control that was the craziest, most powerful component I've ever seen.

Have to agree... Although my version was Delphi + DevExpress components. It was exactly like you describe it: drag components onto a window, arrange neatly, click and set data binding and properties, double click to add some code, voila - d

I agree in principle - but why is TikTok different - why then not, for example, Instagram as well? Is the content on IG any better? Does Meta for some reason have any one individual's interests at heart more than TikTok?

I see this argument often, but I'm genuinely curious if it's actually the case - at least in my experience, a huge amount of apps nowadays have custom-designed UIs and very little conformance to "platform UI conventions"

Thank you for sharing, that was nice. Evoked a flurry of sentiments for me - from the 80s nostalgia, childhood and flashback of my dad's office, to a realization of time passed by, growing older and supposedly more wise (but am I).

I don't think there's any error to fix. It's a feature - casting light from the video onto the UI, using JS, surely takes that amount of CPU. The question of why it is on by default stands - because it's little bit of ey

I would happily submit ALL the time required to set up my perfectly-tailored Linux environment once and have it stay that way, just to not have Windows Update (or a random blue screen or 100% disk utilization etc) make my machine unavaila

I can back that claim. Unfortunately, it's no longer the case - not exclusively for the low trust reason, though - but that kids of school age, in my experience, now largely rush home after school to text to their same group of friend

I generally root for Tesla as a former underdog who lit the fire under the asses of stagnating manufacturers, but, seeing videos of FSD in action, I'm fully on the side of people who think that calling it FSD should be considered fraud

Teams, specifically on Mac and Linux, has been a shit-show of instability, weird one-off behavior, blank screens on start, login loops etc for my team. With how amazingly well Microsoft did with Visual Studio Code, it's a bummer how it
