It brings tooling that is a LOT easier. Just things like dependency management, test running and so on is so much better in Rust than in C, even if you happen to write the exact same code because you basically write unsafe code and hand rol

Surely 100% of these low level features are availale in rust too? I understand it is a massive undertaking and builds off the previous codec(s) but writing these things by hand such as inline assembly seems to be as easy if not easier in Ru

How is this data storage even legal? I mean having cameras out that will sound an alarm if one of N specific wanted cars pass by is one thing. But do these cars just store stuff for later use and abuse? Who approved that?

Would be interesting to know what exactly went wrong. How obvious was the mistake? How necessary was the change? What is wrong with the test suite that didn’t capture it?

How could an api for number parsing ever be designed to return 0 for invalid input, for a function where 0 is also a common (perhaps the most common) return value for a valid input? This wouldn't even pass a cursory sanity check of the

Devs not having read access to all code seems like a massive org smell. What’s worse, in many cases not having access doesn’t just prevent you from seeing it it also prevents you from knowing it exists. Now you don’t know what to ask for, w
