"Move content (timeline) to the left-hand side and the dashboard to the right for easier reading." Anyone care to enlighten me on how the above makes for easier reading?

My strategy is just-in-time learning. Anyone attempting to eager load all the knowledge is either crazy or exceptionally brilliant.

Has the site developer never heard of Youtube? Why should I have to install the cancer that is Quicktime on my Windows machine at work?

I've kind of picked up this habit in recent months after buying a Macbook. I use my Windows machine's keyboard and mouse to control my Macbook via Synergy. Unfortunately, the right shift key doesn't register over Synergy on the Mac. :-/

I touch type, but I always look at the keyboard when typing passwords (because I don't like backtracking when I make mistakes; I'd rather get it right the first time)

One of the first things I did after installing Lion was changing switching spaces/fullscreen apps to a 4-finger swipe and navigating back and forward to a 3-finger swipe. I think I mainly did it because at the time Chrome wasn't "Lion-aware

I'd love to use ViEmu or VsVim, but it'd confuse the hell out of my team members if we ever have to pair up. And then I'd be lumped with trying to explain what it is to them when they barely even know what Unix is...

I run it at 1440x900 on a Core2Quad (Q6600), 8GB RAM and an AMD HD4850 GPU. For the most part it's pretty smooth at high settings with FXAA turned on, but there are times when there's a bit of stutter or freezing especially when I quicksave

Not much more to say than this: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1321675-how-can-skyrim-be-s... Bethesda are releasing patches, but right now they're fixing bugs rather than optimising performance and I'm presuming that it's a slow proc

Most of Facebook's Android app is just a web view as is their iPad app and probably their iPhone app too. I wouldn't be surprised if the Twitter Android app is also a web view.

Expecting anything more than this from Apple is deluding yourself. If they can't get fixes out for security holes until they're in imminent danger of being in the spotlight (Pwn2Own - and that's only one example; Apple are especially notori

Agreed, the 2000 miniseries was pretty good as long as you keep in mind it's more theatre than film.

I'm a big fan of Iain Banks since reading Excession (which still remains my favourite). Also loved Dune, but haven't read any of the sequels yet. I'd also recommend Catherine Asaro's saga of the Skolian Empire to anyone that is into physics

The original article he's responding to mentions true generics (i.e. runtime supported). Despite all of Scala's great features, it still compiles down to Java bytecode and lacks these features that are available in the CLR. The "glacial rat
