Eh, but it can become just as low-effort as AI slop. I've participated in a number of conversations here where it appears the person I was interacting with (this was pre-AI) was just googling off some keywords and pasting links with on

This gives the impression that there's a collective group of differing views that come together and make decisions. It's quite the opposite from my experience and they seem to actively chase out anyone who dissents from the collec

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't seem to think that way. Which is made more unfortunate by targeted character assassination attempts intended to discredit everything a person has said. Not saying that is what's going on here a

I'm convinced you can tackle 5-10 "CVEs" a day, make a little dashboard, put some pretty graphs on it, and send it to your exec team and probably get accolades. Nevermind that the CVEs had nothing to do with your product.

I've mostly moved on to screen-less wearables for health metrics now. Not only do you get a ridiculously large battery life (measured in days) but I also found that it means more time and attention was put into the things I care about

There are still sane people here, we just don't talk about "rocket man" because it enrages the particular subgroup on display here and usually goes no where actually productive (and has like a 50% of getting flagged to death

Have you thought about browser/machine use at all? I like the idea of Grok Bot but would rather host/maintain it myself with my own agents.

Not literally. I think the text in question is: "within or from New York or to persons in New York." Where CFTC is arguing that "from" would have interstate consequences. I'm not a legal expert, though, so I have no

It seems that New York is asking the court for a temporary restraining order that would prohibit Kalshi from offering all event contracts nationwide. I also have zero love for Kalshi, but I can see why such a request would be concerning, re

Only way I was able to get a job recently was via one of a few recruitment firms I was working with. Presumably this will become more common. Basically vendors "selling" actual real humans they vetted.

There must literally be hundreds of, "Looks cool, but I built <X>" in this thread. It leaves me with mixed emotions. If you're prone to analysis paralysis - this is an unfortunate time to be alive.

Probably a bad qualifier. Maybe non-VC would have been better. Myself and my co-founder are trying to raise via a syndicate of like-minded investors/angels in lieue of the "traditional" VC dance.

From my experience they wanted you to demonstrate enough metrics that would have justified NOT ever getting VC funding. It feels like they are just becoming lazy.

I’m really not trying to virtue signal. There’s a lot more nuance to my reasoning to leave the traditional VC game. All of them led me to declaring it fundamentally incompatible with my world view. Which then led me to my current path of at

I'm guessing the number of non-developer Apple users is at least an order of magnitude larger than the developer users. So, no, I don't think developers can vote with their wallet to fix this crappy ecosystem. We'd be better
