I doubt about PayPal’s anti-fraud capabilities. They allowed to open another account with the same name and address as mine, but with different phone and email, without any confirmation. And that person bought something, and after it wasn’t

There was (and still is)a project called Bigloo ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigloo ) that was interesting by allowing to get C, JVM and .Net code from scheme programs. We were a Scheme shop and experimented a lot wit

I have used it, also as Kawa. from my point of view, the Clojure interface to JVM is more "natural". Plus the concurrency support, etc.

Why not just use Clojure? It has good frameworks for web programming, you can even use it for browser apps, etc. There are of course differences, but from my point of view the code will be less ugly. P.S. I programmed in CL, and in Scheme (

There is a lot - customer support (aka customer 360), fraud detection, some maintenance cases, inventory, recommendations, etc. But it’s heavily dependent on requirements - what should be response time. Most of graph databases are good in f

Power++ was much easier to use - it was really hiding a lot of internal things, so you worked with handlers only, etc. no need to look into class declarations, etc. https://www.drdobbs.com/powersofts-power-20/184415592

Treat notebooks like other code - separate onto staging and production, with defined promotions between them - it’s possible. You can run tests in CI/CD pipelines, etc. You can set permissions so nobody can update production notebooks

I’m sorry for delay, will fix ASAP... My point is that you can do that even without jars/wheels - you can do VC and tests of notebooks. For example, https://github.com/alexott/databricks-nutter-projects-demo
