By making email processing easier, we hope that we can help others to innovate in the email space, not waste time on the basic processing problems we've solved a while ago

BTW, it took us a while to make sure we deploy right from pip on production, that means that community will get all the latest hotfixes and the github repo won't be stale as it's not just the mirror or one time copy.

I've found net/http package source code to be useful on this matter, as the package contains production-ready servers and clients implemented in Go itself.

This project looks really, really promising, thanks for working on it! How robust/scalable in your opinion the backend is at this stage? I'm just trying to set my expectations properly when checking it out. Thanks, Sasha

Would love to know more about the datastore that you've built. Any chance you would elaborate on this?

Thanks Solomon! It's a great tool to use, and I'm glad to see that Docker gets wider and wider adoption at Rackspace. As a data point - almost all projects in SFO office have adopted it one way or another.

What version of twisted and os you were using? I'm asking because all latest Twisted releases are using epoll by default.

Yeah, that was my error actually, our MIME parser worked just fine and escaped the stuff I put into TO field. Looks like I need some sleep now, not gonna write the postmortem about this one though :-)

Daniel, Again, we are sorry this happened. Per our analysis duplicates occurred because monits were killing delivery processes in emergency, so only small part of the overall traffic was affected. That does not make it any better for custom

We've introduced the temporary storage because it's exactly what our customers asked for: in most cases they don't want us to store the messages, but instead need a temporary storage so they can pull fully parsed messages whe

Well, you are not forced to reject the email, you can just stick to the unobtrusive spellchecker, that just suggests in case if something suspicious. So the end decision is up to your app.

For the folks with privacy concerns: we are actually planning on open sourcing the entire service as well as our MIME handling library. So if you have privacy concerns, you'll be able to run it locally.

Hi lucb1e, thanks for finding this issues. It actually gets validated correctly by our parser (which will soon be open source) but hits a bug in our API. We are working on a fix right now.
