Enjoyed this piece. You could argue that a few of the new features in Swift do offer more concise syntax e.g. inferred types and the ability to use map/filter – leading to reduced lines of code similar to ARC (but not quite as transfor

Had a friend who was recently in a similar situation minus the YC part and basically it turned out to be a massive waste of time (and legal fees) when they decided he wasn't the 'right fit' for their culture. It was more of a

The best advice I ever received was over 2 years ago whilst on holiday in Canada. A dude there said that he'd spent $6000 CAD on mining equipment (GPUs) and had made a cool $15000 - but he said that he would have made more if he'd

This is nice to see. I wonder how it compares to HAProxy http://haproxy.1wt.eu/ which also works with SSL and Secure WebSockets (wss://).

The examples were extremely helpful for me actually. Thanks Stephane! Looking forward to the next release to make reading/writing BSON easier. Reckon we could steal some of the awesome JSON macros stuff from Play for simple cases?

As a founder and programmer, I found this post really interesting and well written, but rather than lamenting about how it must be impossible to do both roles where eventually you will have to give up programming - why not just accept that

Yes, Scala's improvement from 2.9.2 to 2.10 is better than the improvement from JVM 6 to 7 with this benchmark. Especially for the Eratosthenes test where the time halves from ~1494ms to ~704ms. The largest percentage improvement from 2.9.2

The author couldn't be more right about picking an asynchronous driver. It makes me wonder how long it will take for the official MongoDB drivers to adopt this approach too. I've been using ReactiveMongo for Scala for the past two months an
