I think this is a good model if perhaps narrow. You mention the lifecycle of a single game. But there are many games released over many years. Software is the same. For example we may have reached some level of maturity for building a CRUD

This seems like a limitation that could be lifted instead of introducing a separate product (disclaimer: familiar with ebpf exporter but haven’t dug into OP). Iirc ebpf exporter had some limitations, but they weren’t fundamental. However it

Check out vault’s response wrapping with cubbyhole for one such case. Note this still takes a dependency on the service.

I tried higher level problems: write an http server in rust using warp and postgres, with endpoint for get users and put user. 9 compile errors, some due to cargo.toml issues (it only generated main.rs). But mostly worked. The post we’re di

I’m curious about GP’s reply. The nuance about the British wanting a PM they’d be able to sway is a piece I hadn’t heard before. Oil/nationalization of the Anglo Iranian Oil Company still seems like a key flashpoint in UK/US oppos

I wasn’t suggesting either of the technologies wholesale. The “signed rotation” commonality seemed interesting, with subtle differences. I’m curious to see where DIDs go, I’ve seen those crop up a few places. UCAN also seems interesting, JW

I was reading about algorand rekeying today, as well as DIDs and atproto/bluesky. Both seem to use a “signed rotation” approach. Algorand keeps your public key stable while adding metadata that your spend key has changed and links the

Ah, bummer. If it helps, you can try this to list out VM sizes with comparable capabilities and see if you have better luck with any others (--all not really necessary since it filters by NotAvailableForSubscription and similar): az vm

RI are a billing concept (discounted rates for long term commitment). Dedicated capacity exists, but it’s different (compute reservation groups or dedicated hosts). You can combine CRG/DH with RI for the desired effect, although IMO it

What VM sizes? Besides what’s already been said, internal capacity differs HUGELY based on VM SKU. If you need GPUs or something it’ll be tough. But a lot of the newer v4/v5 general compute SKUs (D/Da/E/Ea/etc) have

Pragmatically I agree with you. But in GPs defense, I don’t believe these were multisig wallets with geographically distributed individuals in control. It was 1/1. Nonetheless, a metal pipe is a good counter to crypto.

This isn’t even that extreme. Malicious people can be highly successful. The founder doesn’t even sound deliberately malicious necessarily. There is a lot of room to be successful between “brilliant and well meaning” and “unable to deliver

I was thinking of streaming video, where the first load might be a lot heavier to buffer you to a state where you don't get choppy playback. Yeah, regardless of throughput, you're going to have a bad time with interactive workload

A great example too -- initial page/content load for text/docs, vs continuous streaming which could be workable with arbitrary latency compensation as long as you do really have sufficient bandwidth. The start time might suck, but

That table isn’t super clear. Creators refers to the creators of the mesh in the first column (Consul). They all use Envoy except linkerd.

Azure already has ARM VMs (as well as AKS)? The equivalent would be cloud build, not GKE <-> GH actions, right? does cloud build support arm runners?

Legal repurcussions differ. IMO it comes down to: what’s the likelihood someone pursues me, and will I survive the expected cost of my defense. Nobody likes love letters anyway. Individuals may have a lower risk, but the cost is high if som

To be fair, GP was quoting a comment specifically comparing Miami and SF, although the comment you reply to lost that distinction. I agree it’s overly simplistic but that sub culture of Miami certainly exists and is very visible, just like

From a sibling: json can’t have the header for yaml versions, so 1.2 arguably doesn’t solve this. If you force 1.2 without the header I suppose it works, but breaks compatibility?
