I prefer subs over dubbing for foreign languages, but I cannot stand closed captions (for people who can’t hear at all) because having your eye drawn to the bottom of the screen for a description of something I don’t need to know about is h

That's the thing, not everything had the drivers. Gigabyte in particular omitted the important bits for a while. I'm not going to claim I'm an expert, but I ended up with a very fast SSD which could only be made bootable by e

> why PWA’s are awesome You've described some advantages to you as a developer. For the average user, apps that change all the time and effectively make them a tester aren't such a no brainer!

As I understand it, speaking AHCI doesn't mean the higher level drivers exist in the BIOS to allow booting, so things were a long way from standardisation in those days. You couldn't just put an AHCI drive in an M.2 slot and expec

You’re confusing concentration with amplification, and you’re not explaining how you think bed springs could cause concentration despite having no similarity in form or action to your examples.

That's not an issue in most of the world; I don't think any of my current cards have ever been swiped. However there are still plenty of transit tickets that use a magstripe, and having those wiped is super inconvenient.

We have a Panasonic Inverter microwave here, must be 20 years old. It works great and I have never noticed any interference with WiFi or Bluetooth, both of which also get a lot of use in the kitchen. Just another anecdata point!

No, there's not any call for high voltages in a VCR, outside the feedback loop of a SMPS if it's fancy. The most common thing to use light sensors is just detecting the difference between tape and clear leader at the ends of the t
