To me a PC is a device that runs whatever software you need, and that you can program to do the stuff that you need. iOS imposes limitations on that, you cannot run third party applications that are not on the store, you can't write yo

This fix to me reduces the performance for nothing. In Linux (or most general on any UNIX system that I saw) a path should not be longer (total) than PATH_MAX, that is typically defined to 4096 bytes. What is the point on allocating somethi

It's not a mistake. Allocating that string on the stack it is not a bad idea. Most of the time the string will be short, and thus an allocation on the stack is faster. Consider that in Linux a path is defined to be a maximum length of

SFTP is mainly a *NIX thing. And it's a terrible hack built on top of a protocol meant to be something really different. Also, while in theory SFTP can be as secure as FTPS, in practice it's not. How many people really check that

Not everyone has a FTP client installed in the system, or a FTP client that can be launched with the server to open (Windows explorer can open FTP servers but I don't think you could with a link. But I'm not sure). A lot of sites,

I don't trust storing keys in the hardware. The hardware can fail and you loose everything, or the hardware can have backdoor. It's not difficult to make and memorize a strong password in the end to use it for disk encryption.
