Censorship is the suppression of speech, public communication, or other information, on the basis that such material is considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or "inconvenient." Censorship can be conducted by governments,

You are confusing a theory [0] with a model [1] of that theory. These are two different things. > there is always a subset for which multiplication works like repeated addition A subset , yes. [0] https://en.wikipedia.org

It's not cheating. It's precisely the point. There are contexts where multiplication is not simply repeated addition.

The question is not whether you can define it in terms of addition in some abstract way, but whether you can define it in terms of repeated addition , i.e. something of the form x + x + … + x.

You are making a mistake that many students unfamiliar with abstract algebra make, which is to confuse a particular " encoding " or " implementation " with the algebraic structure . The concept of a real closed field [0

Define π times e in terms of repeated addition. I wouldn't say multiplication is literally repeated addition. I'd say it reduces to repeated addition when the multiplier is a natural number.

The relevant passages are far too long to quote here. I suggest reading chapter 2 (starting at "Abolition of the family!") for the first, and chapter 2.3 and 2.4 for the second.
