Interesting. Much more game-like than I was picturing. (I had in mind something like that old Choose Your Own Adventure series.) I guess the line between interactive story and game is pretty blurry. It's not clear what PlayStory is. The tre

The web seems like a perfect medium for doing really interesting choose-your-own-adventure story interfaces. It's odd that there aren't really any examples (that I could find) that are more than just links to different pages. I wonder if it

I was first amazed at the quality, then surprised that these were taken more recently than I expected, in 1910. Then, I realized that, duh, that was 102 years ago. It's strange how even 100+ years ago is getting more and more recent. (Obvio

That there's any confusion is why this is a problem. Once you start getting into centralized, micromanegerial control of the content of applications, you have to handle all the details, all the edge cases. Law has the same problem.

My interpretation is that it's referring to actually embedding a tweet in a way that pulls it live via the API (or otherwise presented as a tweet entity), and that just quoting someone's tweet (like one would quote an article) is still fine

Streams are more an attitude shift to match how people consume content than a substantial functional shift. They still allow for permalinks; it's possible to link to any tweet directly. Stream-oriented content is about acknowledging that pa

I'm really liking this use of gists as a backend to more specialized services (eg http://dabblet.com & http://codepen.io ). It's a nice, easy way to get a versioned document store without having to build out the infrastructure. Dire

The catch is that when you can control every pixel, you have to control every pixel if you don't want things to look crummy. Scrollkit is going to have to overcome that in some way if they don't want it to get stuck as the MS Paint of the

I'd love to see a drag-and-drop editor that doesn't require the image be absolutely positioned and can have text interact with the image. Somewhat like iBooks Author, but without fixed page sizes.

The fullscreen mode is a nice touch, as is the image resizing, provided the cursor doesn't leave the image boundary. It's frustrating that, like other editors, it doesn't differentiate so well between line and block actions. Also, I was ver

Or, the designers/developers can make sensible decisions about what to include. The existing tools are fine, and provide plenty of techniques for optimizing to different viewing platforms and environments. The problem is people getting carr

Since it's basically a rounding error, I'm not sure if there's any way to avoid the gap without some overlap. In that example, a :before pseudo-element that's the same width as the box and one pixel above the triangle can provide the overla

I'm currently working on a site that uses it heavily in production for visual enhancements and details. It's a great trick that works well, and doesn't require any additional markup if you use :before and :after pseudo-elements. Using CSS i

Yes, I've seen that often. It's most apparent even without any zooming on mobile Safari. For this reason, whenever I use the triangle effect, I'll offset the element/pseudo-element by one pixel to avoid the gap.

There's an issue with comparisons to plumbing and mechanics. The kinds of devices "ordinary users" interact with in those realms are physical, and it's possible to see how they work at a high level just by looking at them. (Yes, cars and su

Thanks for the quick reply. I deleted the empty repos and it's working wonderfully. I look forward to the update. Being able to create entirely new repos from the iPad would be a big plus.
