No, Jupyter is not an app for writing reports and it's definitely not its primary use across DS. When it may take 5 minutes to simply load the data, you can no longer rerun some Python scripts to mess around and experiment with stuff.

E.g., you can set up a breakpoint in your own local module that your notebook is importing and get the full vscode debugging experience by executing a cell.

Just a suggestion - VS Code (now) has a super nice support for jupyter. You don't have to start the server externally, vim mode and all your extensions like github copilot work fine, proper autocompleting works, etc. Debugging is absol

I think I'll buy one and maybe buy two more later if it proves to be good, almost $5k though, ouch... Wish they made a simpler version with no ports, no camera, no speakers, etc - why would I need 3 cameras and 3 sets of speakers?..

Note that I mentioned "2x27'' screen size", not "2x27''". I would very much prefer if they just just glued two 27'' studio displays together, effectively making it a single 32:9 10K 49'

I'd happily pay $3k-$4k if they simply glued two 27'' Studio displays together, effectively making it a 32:9 49'' ultrawide. Come on, Apple.

Yea. Sad about the lack of ultrawide option, too. Once you get used to it, there's no way back. Two 27'' displays is not an option since you can't center anything, so... three Studio displays side-to-side?

I really wish they focused on bigger displays too. For music/video production having at least 2x27'' screen size is crucial. But two is kind of weird because you can't centre any app. And there is kind of too much...

Precisely. There's no resistance in the air, and Ukrainian air defense is almost non-existent, having suffered lots of damage on day 1. So, there's barely any need for fighters. Note also that Russia tends to bring in lots of mobi

1. Might be also nice to handle 0-0 case separately and grey out all those letters both in the guesses on the board and perhaps in a separate keyboard as well. 2. Can go one step further, e.g. if a guess has X-0 and all there's only X

In this particular problem, all edge weights are 1..=9, so you can have a O(1) priority queue (fixed-bound bucket queue) if you make use of that fact. (example: https://github.com/aldanor/aoc-2021/blob/master&

Agreed. Working with rust in e.g. CLion (or even the free PyCharm CE with Rust plug-in) beats vscode by a large margin, it's nowhere near comparable, especially when working with larger projects often requiring major refactoring etc.

You could store decimals (either power 10 or power 2) with a given precision. Essentially, when storing floats as text, you are already doing that.

PyCharm has its own engine and while not perfect, it's fairly good.

Correction: what's easiest to read to someone who hasn't carefully read every single line of your library. Verbosity is not always bad, if it yields clarity.

Why use system Python base environment for production stuff, especially knowing that it will EOL eventually and mayhem may follow? Again, pin your environments using conda, pipenv or whatever else, in which case your base Python version wo

What's to be uneasy about? Lock your environments, pin your dependencies, especially in production.

I came from VIM as well - Doom Emacs (which is just a cleaner version of Spacemacs) is learnable within a few days. Default config is almost 'good enough' for most, that's kind of the point. Disagreed with "start with Va

Given I've been on/off Spacemacs / Doom for years myself, I would definitely pay for a well-packaged isolated one-click-installable Magit as a separate git client.

It's very neat but closed-source and by the looks of it is likely to stay that way. I can't see it being used in any mission-critical projects unless the source is fully disclosed and viewed/analysed by the community... until
