I have a humble feeling Zig has a super bright future. Simplicity, seemingly perfect C interop,... As a mere apprentice of 'low-level' programming, I have no intention of learning Rust. It's certainly brilliant though and und

OK but attributes like the mohawk are 'playful' in this setting. It distinguishes its bearer by making him look aggressive while still being a good, collaborative member. On the opposite, ML could indicate that in spite of one&#

How would we collectively react if ML proves accurate in classifying anti-social traits or worse ? Mythomania, narcissic perversion, pedofilia, etc ? Employers, condos, schools, many communities will want to ML-screen candidates, be it offi

Sorry for my platitude but ML is only a tool. Nefarious usage gets counter-balnced by e.g. identifying tumours.

Yes it's addiction for many users. They're hooked on notifications, not disabling them even though it interrupts real-life conversations, sleep, scenery enjoying, etc..

A girl was sitting next to me on a train. For the whole one hour journey she scrolled and switched between apps in a spasmodic manner. At times she would lay the phone down for a few secs then resume at once. It looked sick. It looked like

I use it day-to-day. No problem. As a rule, when JS is not mandatory I block it.

Agreed. It's O(n) inefficient. I guess looping though chars up to `size` would perform better on average. I see this `strlcpy` recommanded everywhere.

Considerations about fingerprint in this thread made me think that if I had crypto wallets, I would change relevant file names and extensions, and patch binaries to get hashes unrecognizable by a stealer implant.

Even 100MB is crazy. I know RAM is cheap but the absurdity of that amount is beyond me.

I meant server web application. The one in Node/Go/Python where you will write your business logic then `http.listen()`. See what I mean ? JS matters most client-side anyway.

Thanks, I read it. It is like I thought : holding different optimisation versions of the same code... that is overly complicated in my (naive) view.

Nice initiative! A few remarks : - the intro text is way too long - you contradict yourselves about stdout : `Log messages, errors, and so on should all be sent to stderr.` `Don’t treat stderr like a log file, at least not by default.

I fear they won't. Some crowds only need a spark to explode. They won't wait for counter-evidence. They just need a pretext.

If the video weren't fake, would that somehow make the murder of Rohingya acceptable? Your answer is astray. What is at stake is evident : one can now provoke riots and deaths from thin air (and bits).

Exactly. Cheater of real rank R would set target rank R' = R+delta. Once officially at R', set R'' = R'+delta. And so on by modest increments.

I wonder how much XSS and others are automatizable. Beating markup escaping for example. A program may be able to infer the transformation used by comparing input and rendition, then confirm when JS execution is achieved.
