Exactly I had assumed they believed it and so I was attempting to start a debate by addressing the shaky foundations of these types of beliefs.

Yeah my bad I somehow thought you were serious and so I wanted to explain why even if you’re religious Christian that this antichrist concept isn’t really so well justified at all.

This list is all heavily extrapolated and there are good reasons to reject any antichrist is well defined or even prophesied as lists like this claim. The Bible warns of escalating deception and a future opponent of Christ through passages

Demographic stagnation? compared to who? everything is relative and I don’t think US demographics has it at a disadvantage over EU, China, Japan, South Korea, does it? So then who is left to take seriously as a competitor?

Not only that, which I agree with, but also consider the US demographics are extremely advantageous over other nations. There is a chance the US isn’t losing control but is pulling away because the rest of the world has increasingly less to

I haven’t come across those profiles of people talking about being miserable but somehow I have heard many entitled upper middle class white women claiming those people are miserable. Actually the blue collar males I know are mostly happy p

Instagram moved expectations up significantly for a large portion of global populations so yes what you say is absolutely true but isn’t the Reality part but the Expectations part of the Happiness formula.

We can use deciles and the story is the same. I was just keeping it simple and my use of statistics for my point is fine. The bottom decile in all western countries has a objectively better material conditions yet I don’t dispute they may f

Global poverty at 100-year lows, US murder rate half the 90s, you’re more likely to die from obesity than starvation or violence. Objectively the cushiest moment in human history. Yet “mental illness is the only rational response.” Happines

I have a hunch Grok model cutoff is not accurate and somehow it has updated weights though they still call it the same Grok model as the params and size are unchanged but they are incrementally training it in the background. Of course I don

The style of the account comments and “about” definitely give off LLM vibes, but it’s not a particularly active account so I feel not a true bot. It’s also possible the account owner just runs their own comment through an LLM before posting

That’s really exciting actually. I’d be curious what your thoughts on TUI frameworks are and which you are considering for implementation.

Has a TUI implementation of this approach been considered? a lot of terminal focused situations may not have any GUI functionality but could benefit greatly from the runbook framework.

Are the design specifications, like interconnect, GPUs, CPUs, memory and storage of this new cluster public? I seem to recall xAI has made public theirs. I’m mostly asking out of curiosity and a desire to read up on the SOTA hardware specs

A big problem I find is that if you are a family and have kids you basically have to keep up and that means turning on notifications for messages and emails and then of course that leads to opening the phone, reading email, checking HN (obv

Same experience and it’s so bad I sometimes question my sanity. At least I have a notmuch index setup on a server I can fall back on but it’s just so bizarre a “search” company can’t produce an app which can search properly emails!

Is there a good example you could provide of that? I just haven’t seen that personally so I’d be interested in any examples on these current models. I’m sure we all remember in the early days lots of examples of stupidity being posted and i

I’m guessing this list is defined by Mac users who all got taught em dash somewhere similar or for similar reasons. It is only easy to use on a Mac. But I wonder what is the 2nd common influence of users using it?

Any pointers to what is SOTA for cluster of hosts with CUDA GPUs but not enough vram for full weights, yet 10Gbit low latency interconnects? If that problem gets solved, even if for only a batch approach that enables parallel batch inferenc
