I hope all they've discovered is a technicality allowing for partial decoding. If they can break PGP/SSL in a way that isn't just brute forcing the hashing algorithm, then we'll have a lot more trouble than just the gov

My guess is this is because of the separation between engineers and product managers (PMs). Engineers are supposed to focus on development and PMs (and more businessy folks) are supposed to focus on the competition.

Out of curiosity, which division were you in? Given the size of Microsoft, I'm not surprised there would be some major differences between different teams.

I think the creativity argument is bull. I would bet that the reason why there's a difference between the groups of diagrams is the depth of knowledge in neurons. Undergrads, who I believe we can safely assume have less in depth knowledge

I'm pretty sure the barometers are meant to be used for predicting height (i.e. as an altimeter) so that the phone can get a GPS lock more easily.
