I guess I'm biased because I wrote Latitudie :). I haven't really had time to test the Google Latitude app, since I've been setting up a bunch of servers for my next project for the whole day, so I can't tell you exactly the differences bet

Sorry about that. It should work fine (but a bit slowly) now. I had to stop all the other services on that machine to keep up with the traffic. My blog is in a virtual machine inside a low powered HTPC and this link is #1 here on HN and top

Not really. I got the initial idea from readability, but I developed my own algorithm for text and image extraction using Python and lxml.
