This speaks to why online job posting is broken. LinkedIn and others have made it so easy to apply, that the old school friction to apply weeded out candidates. It’s a bit like why US Congress people prioritize reading handwritten letter ph

I’m really curious from the marketer angle on does this help or hurt convert to sales. My gut is it’ll dramatically hurt. Since the call to action is way more challenging for users to find.

Agreed … but that is a different situation. That is a lack of payment situation. Revenue was still earned (and charged) … and since you never collected revenue then you don’t pay taxes.

While nobody expected it … it should not be unexpected. Typically, the Lowest-Common-Denominator wins mass appeal/uasge. By not having safety checks and even typing enforcement, SQLite caters to actually more use cases than less.

I’m fairly certain that’s incorrect . Businesses are only taxed on actual revenue earned. What you decide to charge—whether $100, $50, or even giving it away for free—is purely a business decision, not a tax one. — This is different from a

My understanding is that this is all about cutting edge manufacturing. E.g., in semiconductor fabrication - over the past decade, Intel’s chip production and process nodes have lagged 1–2 generations behind leading non-U.S. manufacturers.

In addition to what others have said (positively), ‘libghostty’ is also a game changer. It’s like the “WebKit” for terminal, as I understand it. Anyone could drop-in libghostty, and immediately have a fully functional terminal.
